Net Override
A cyberpunk card battle game. Deploy phishing attacks, raise firewalls, and launch exploits against the Sentinel, an AI security program defending the network. Outsmart it, collect its cards, and take over the system.
The Cards
Three card types, inspired by real cybersecurity:
| Card | Color | Beats | Why? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Phishing | Purple | Firewall | Social engineering goes around network defenses. No firewall can stop a convincing fake email |
| Firewall | Blue | Exploit | Firewalls filter malicious traffic, blocking exploits before they reach their target |
| Exploit | Red | Phishing | Exploits craft targeted phishing payloads. A weaponized vulnerability makes the perfect lure |
How to Play
1. Arrange Your Deck
Before each match, your cards are laid out face-up. This is your chance to choose the order they’ll be played.
- Click a card to pick it up, then click a position to place it
- The leftmost card is played first. Strategy matters!
- Hit SHUFFLE ALL if you just want a random order
2. Battle
Each round, you and the Sentinel flip your top card. The stronger card wins, and the winner takes both cards to the bottom of their deck.
The goal: drain the Sentinel’s deck to zero.
3. Ties
When both sides flip the same card type, neither wins. Both cards go to a tie pile in the center. Keep flipping and whoever wins the next round takes everything in the pile. Ties can chain, building up massive piles.
4. Auto-Play
Don’t feel like clicking? Hit AUTO and watch the battle unfold on its own. It gets faster every 10 rounds and by round 60, it’s a blur. Press STOP any time to take back control.
After the Match
- REMATCH — The winner keeps all their collected cards. The loser gets a fresh 12-card deck. Each rematch raises the stakes; 24 cards, then 36, then 48…
- RESET & REMATCH — Had enough of fighting a stacked deck? Reset everything. Both sides start fresh with 12 cards.
- MAIN MENU — Head back to the title screen.
There’s no limit on rematches. Even if the Sentinel has 120 cards and you only have 12, you can still fight.
Your Progress
The game saves automatically after every round. Close the browser whenever you want hit CONTINUE on the main menu to pick up right where you left off.
Your win/loss/draw record is tracked and displayed throughout the game.
